If you add them as attachments they show up as small thumbnails, and the viewer needs to click on it to enlarge it.
The other way is to use a free picture hosting site such as
http://www.imageshack.us/ once you have uploaded the image, you then just paste the link in your post (use the direct link code, as it gives you many options)
