You can do daily tours to Cairo and Luxor - a quick way is to fly to these places as there are quite a few daily flights from Hurghada and fairly cheap

There are also organised tours by coach to Luxor which take about 4-5 hours, you stay overnight in Luxor and return the following day, not much to see expect on the way, I would rather fly there in an hour.
