Golf in Alexandria

I saw an article on golf in Alexandria that featured The Alexandria Sporting Club, and I was surprised to learn that it's been there for over a hundred years.

It also offers other sports and a variety of restaurants.

I wonder if there's and Egyptian professional golf circuit like there is in North America?

I did some searching to find out about golf in Egypt. I was really surprised to find that there were as many golf courses as there are. I imagine they take quite a bit of upkeep with the lack of rain.

I'd think so too. I suppose they've perfected irrigation along with their other architectural achievements.

I saw a photo of someone golfing with pyramids in what seemed to be the near background. I don't know if it was a "photoshop" alteration, but it was interesting.

Is there any place for beginners to give golfing a go? I'm horrible, but wouldn't minding giving a driving range or putting green, maybe even the front or back 9 a go.

I would think that any of the golf courses have lessons for beginners. They generally have their own golf "pro" at each golf course. I guess you have to watch out for the sand traps, though.

That was good, watch out for the sand traps. I would if you liked to golf you would enjoy it with all the nice weather. Of course it could get rather hot especially since most golf courses don't have a lot of trees.
