belly dancing show

I will be going to Cairo and would really love to see a good belly dancer that isnt on too late (I believe the shows sometimes start in the early hours of the morning) as I don't have a lot of time there, can anyone recommend?

Sure there are a lot of places in Cairo where you can see a belly dancing show and it does not have always to be late, if you book a nile dinner cruise it starts at 8.30 During summer, and it has a belly dancing show.
are you travelling alone ?

Sure , there are some good Dinner nile cruises. in my opinion the best is the nile maxime that is mananged by marriott cairo hotel. they really serve very good food and they have one of the best belly dancing show. can help you with the booking.

The Marriott Maxim tours go out at 7:30 and 9:30 and will last about 2 hours. Some dinner cruises go out a little earlier, like at 7... you may want to put something like "nile dinner cruise" into a google search because there are many to choose from with a variety of costs and entertainment (and even food.) Oh, the Maxim tour dinner is (or used to be at least) ala carte style.

If you're interested in more than just watching a belly dancing show, did you know there were tour packages where you can actually LEARN to belly dance? I found a tour listed as "Dance of Egypt" at Hostleworld. From the looks of the itinerary, you get to see the regular tourist places, but also have the opportunity to learn something that's truly Egyptian. At $225 per person (which I'm guessing doesn't include airfare), it sounds like fun!

That sounds like it would be great fun! A little scary considering the costume I'd have to wear, but certainly a memorable part of an Egyptian vacation! I think it would be worth the $225 a person (local currency?) to do something so unique.
