What a find. I myself never knew that whale once had feet and walked outside of water. Very interesting article, thanks for posting it. It is so amazing to me the things that have been found in Egypt.
What I am now curious about is at what point did whales, walruses, etc. migrate away from the whole area ...was the water too warm, how long did it take, etc.
That was a very interesting article. Thanks for the post, Taggart. It interesting that they would find a while in that region, particularly since I don't believe whales currently live in the Red Sea. Hmm, could this be a whale from Noah's time?
I think whales really did walk, at some point. Even today's whales have vestigal (useless, like our appendix or tailbone) leg bones embedded in their body.
Thanks for the link. I will have to check it out. Yes, you would thing with all the excavating that goes on that if there were dinosaurs they would be found.
I think more dinosaurs would be found if the ground were different. How many millions of acres of sand would have to be removed to get to the solid ground, where most dinosaurs would be found?
If the whales did walk how long could they stay out of water, what did they eat, would they reproduce the same way, etc. If there were bones in the sand they would most likely have been slowly eroded into the sand and never to have been seen again. Is it possible to test the sand and see if the sand is slightly different and if it was once part of a bone?
