mushtaq is infamous around these parts
There is one airport but three terminal buildings, which are few km apart.

Terminal 1 is mainly Domestic and International I think mainly Egypt Air flights

The International terminal is 2, I think this is for non-Egypt Air international flights, a very old chaotic building, new one being built next to it

Terminal 3 (or building 2 of terminal 1, can't be sure) is the new domestic terminal for some flights.

Bit confusing I know, but the place is a nightmare.

All depends on what airlines you are using, I usually fly into Cairo with BA or Swiss or Turkish (Terminal 2) then use an Domestic Egypt Air to Hurghada (Terminal 1, building one or two depending on flight)

The thing to watch out for is that shuttle bus that runs between T1 & T2 does NOT always stop at the top of the taxi rank where everyone tells you to wait at if you arrive from domestic and need to get to T2, it's better to go upstairs and wait outside the main building at the designated bus stop, another thing is the bus will stop at the car park after couple of km and you have to change the bus to get to T2.

Hope I have not confused you, but there are plenty of taxi cabs there ready to fleece you and charge anything from 50LE to 100LE+ for the few km between terminals.

Yeah you’re absolutely right. I have lots of worst experience there. Absolutely mess in all aspects. There are no clear boards mentioning the flight name. The departure is worse and looks like a wet market. What I really hate most is toilets are dirty.

I waited for my baggage over an hour which made me felt grrrrr…..
