Is falafel Egyptian?

That was my first Egyptian food. Chickpea balls in pita bread with tomatoes and cucumbers. It was absolutely delicious. However, I am not certain that this is strictly Egyptian, can anyone tell me?

yes it is originaly Egyptian. but now u can find in most arab countires , still not good as the Egyptian ones

That's Egyptian? Wow, I had no clue. I've actually had that a few times and have enjoyed it each time. Best way to eat that stuff, I think!

I don't think I've actually had any Egyptian foods. Where I live you have to go to the "big" cities to find that kind of cuisine. And, we don't go to those cities that often, as they're over an hour away. We might have to make a special trip. What would you suggest ordering?
