Getting to Tourist sites

how easy is it to get to the tourist sites (valley of kings, luxor etc) frm Hurghada

are there regular organised tours?

how long doeas it take?

any information gratefully received

You can do daily tours to Cairo and Luxor - a quick way is to fly to these places as there are quite a few daily flights from Hurghada and fairly cheap EgyptAir

There are also organised tours by coach to Luxor which take about 4-5 hours, you stay overnight in Luxor and return the following day, not much to see expect on the way, I would rather fly there in an hour.

As Mushtaq says there are various options for getting to Luxor from Hurghada.
You can fly, cheap and easy.
Organised Tour - the cost of this will depend upon the Tour Operator. A word of warning, be careful not all of them carry insurance.
Local Bus - I actually did this in reverse. It took ages and although cheap would not really recommend it. It was fun though with all the local people hopping off and on at the various stops to try and sell drinks, nuts, bread etc. Oh and there is a video on board the bus.

The problem with an organised tour is that you will only get a limited time at each place and of course the obligitory visit to the papyrus and perfume shops.
