It's Cold

I never thought I would say this, but I am cold!
My daughter laughed when she brought over a 15 tog duvet and an electric blanket.

I have either lived here too long (4 years) or I am becoming Egyptian and have forgotten just how cold the UK can be.

I just came over to Hurghada few days ago, and I agree it's cold, but UK is much colder and wetter at the moment.

I find temperature is fine during the day, but drop very quickly as soon as the sun has gone, I had to get an electric heater for the apartment, didn't think I would have needed one here

It's Cold

Antalya Turkey was 57o Centrigrade in the sun today.Bloody Hot but I like it.

It's a different heat than Egypt as I could not take the Egyptian heat in Summer but with a few Beers here in Turkey I survive. It's hard work but what can you do ?

I am not coping at all well. Coming from Scotland where 18 is considered a heatwave, this is not comfortable for me at all. In the winter I am feeling the cold here, whereas in Scotland I just wrapped up well and love it.

When will the heatwave be over in Hurghada? I'm planning to come over, but it seems too hot and also air fares are far too high at the moment.

September flight prices are a bit lower, is that a good time?

Weather wise September is good, but don't forget that Ramadan starts on the 1st September. This means that all the Hotels will be fully booked if not over booked.

My daughter is coming in November which is great. We usually get the last of the snorkelling in while she is here. After that the temperature of the water drops and for me it is too cold, plus it starts getting a bit rougher.
