Hi jennifer
welcome to ELF
what parts of Egypt have u visited?
It really depends what you are looking for, e.g if you want to see ancient sites then its Aswan and Luxor you should go to. Or if you want more of a night life and being around other foreign visitors you should check out the resort areas of Sharm and Hurghada.
But personally to see and experience Egyptian culture and be around real everyday egyptians its best to see Alexandria and Cairo to blend in the hustle and bustle

I loved Alexandria the most as I lived there for a year whilst studying, lovely city and the best weather I have experienced abroad I would say.
I enjoyed Old Cairo seeing the old Mosques and architecture. Nasser City is also a nice part too. But for me Cairo is way too crowded and polluted. But in the Summer all the Cairo peeps come to Alex and it gets populated there too!

you can say that again, i was in alex in april, it was near on impossible to get on the beach, and im guessing it maybe even worse in august, if thats possible, but it is lovely there all the same, i actually liked it a bit more when it was busy than when i went in febuary as then it was pretty quiet, but made walking around without bumping into people a lot easier
