Well, let's say you're in Sharm. What can you expect to find there? That's the location I'm curious about.

Sharm El shiek.

nice city located on the red sea . Sinai. mostly built for tourists only. the main attraction of sharm el shiek is its down twon that called nemaa bay .where u can find a good selection of restaurants, bars , pubs, shops for clothing, jewlery, and everything u would like.

then i will have to tell u about the sea , sharm is devided to three places on the sea , Ras mohamed , that is protected area and it was choosen to be one of the best sights all over the world for underwater life. very good for diving and snorkelking.

Tiran islan , that is one hour sailing from the port and it is really nice eara as well for underwater life

Nabq beachs that are rock and very hard access to the water. but very nice beaches for sunbathing.


if you are a beach fan , then u have to visit Terrazzina beach , it is a private beach in sharm in my opinion it is the best with service, food , drinks and music .


from sharm el shiek as well you can do many excursions and see different way of lives.

u can go on quad runner , bedouin night with camel ride , very nice to see the bedouin and eat with them.

you can see as well st. catherine monstry ( tow hours driving from sharm ) and will not of course miss Dahab , it is a city north of sharm and it is only 70 km away. you will have to walk on its promonade by the beach and try the best sea food restaurants in the world.


there are a lot more to say about sharm but i guess i wait now for your comments.

I have read about the underwater life and how great of a place it is to go scuba diving. I have always wanted to go scuba diving. If I ever get to Egypt this would be one of the things on the top of my list of things to do.

then sharm is ur destination , the most wonderfull place for diving

What is the seafood like there? I know here on the westcoast we have a lot of salmon. Is there any distinct fish or seafood dishes that are a specialty of the area?

you have then to try shrimps, lobster, and calamari.
do not miss the sea food soup of a restaurant in sharm called safsafa. the best sea food soup i ever had in my life. plus do not miss the sea food rice , waw!!! guys you make me hungry early in the morning. lol

Is Safsafa the seafood place on a corner in old Sharm? I had seafood soup there and it was very nice, we had a delicious meal there.
