I went to Karnak, didn't get to see the statue you mentioned, the place was packed, according to my guidebook the afternoons are quiet, maybe veryone else read the same book.

Anyway here is a picture of a wall which I have uploaded to the gallery, I can now insert them in the posts easily too.

More Karnak pictures can be found here http://www.egyptianliving.com/photoplog/index.php?c=8 I will upload more.

Great picture that shows what lovely colours can still be seen. Was this taken in the Open Air Museum rather than in the main temple complex?
I don't think any photographs can ever do justice to the sheer size of Karnak, do you?

Sorry, the original image I had added in the above post was actually from the Temple of Hatsheosut (I have changed it now)

Very little colour is left on Karnak artifacts.

Lol Mushtaq! I was beginning to think I had missed something and was already planning my next trip back to Karnak! But there is colour still in Karnak, there are some wonderful reconstructions in the Open Air Museum, its just a few LE extra for your ticket. The White Chapel is spectacular!
